New Plugin! Increase Your Revenue with Genesis Mobile Widgets

Genesis Mobile Widgets

Genesis Mobile Widgets is a plugin that has been developed specifically for bloggers who are looking to increase their revenue on mobile devices. Back on April 21, 2015 Google expanded their use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal changing how websites are shown in their search results on mobile devices. Websites that are mobile-friendly would rank higher while websites that are not mobile-friendly would be pushed down in rank. This was a drastic change for many bloggers using unresponsive websites who had very good page rank in Google search results.

Google’s change in turn drove many bloggers using WordPress to redesign their websites in a responsive manner, while other bloggers using unresponsive themes decided to use mobile-friendly plugins. The problem with both of these methods caused a huge decrease in revenue generation for many bloggers. For those moving to responsive website design, this forces the primary sidebar to drop below the content area, pushing their ads farther to the bottom. Many visitors may not see their ads. For users of mobile-friendly plugins, some bloggers’ revenue generating ads do not show up at all on mobile devices.

Enter… “Genesis Mobile Widgets!”

Genesis Mobile Widgets adds mobile widget areas for WordPress sites running an HTML5-compatible Genesis Child Theme. This provides users with an additional way to monetize their websites on mobile devices.

Once activated, the plugin will install the following widgets in their respective locations.

  • Mobile Above Header – Above the Header
  • Mobile Above Home Content – Above the Content on Home Page Only
  • Mobile Below Home Content – Below the Content on Home Page Only
  • Mobile Above Content – Above Content on All Pages
  • Mobile Fixed Footer – Fixed to the bottom of the site on mobile devices

No configuration is necessary. Just download, install, activate, and visit the widgets area. That’s it!

You may need to fine tune your themes’ CSS for best results.
