[Retired] New Pristine Responsive Real Estate Child Theme [Free]

This theme has been retired as of 11/8/2016.

I am happy to finally release my version of a responsive child theme for the Genesis Framework and for use with the AgentPress Listings Plugin. So many people have been asking for one, although I think there are several out there already. I have never created a theme or child theme before, so this was really a learning experience for me. Before I continue, I want to thank the GenesisWP folks out on Twitter for their help along the way. And to StudioPress for making such great themes to work with.

I felt like a mechanic who was building his own dream car. Taking bits and pieces from here and there, smooching various codes together. Testing it along the way. Giving myself a migraine and growing more grey hair. Yep, I really did, all the way up until last night.

I decided to give this theme away for free because I did not create all of this wonderful code myself. I only took what StudioPress created, added in a little code snippet from Brad Dalton and Niklaus Gerber and shuffled it up into what I now call “Pristine.” A special thanks to Susan Ramsey for letting me vent and for testing the site out for me along the way… click by click! If there are some kinks in there, feel free to email me. I think I tried to iron out as much of what I thought folks wanted. So, have fun and show me what you create with it! Oh, and if you find it really useful… “Buy me a cup of coffee.”

Note: Before you download this free theme – you MUST have the Genesis Framework. You can get it here.

You can view the DEMO HERE. The instructions are on the navigation of the demo.

      Nice job Anita.

Demo looks great and thanks for the instructions.

Any chance of a white color option?

Just peachy. Those two turkeys keep me hopping but then again I wouldn’t want it any other way. ๐Ÿ™‚

On a side note, now that I’ve added your theme to my list of free Genesis themes it’s time to curate that list again – I’ve let it go for far too long.

Just curious how this theme would look like on a mobile phone. Any way I can see a demo of that?

It looks very well. I took a lot of care in making sure that areas are responsive as best I can given that I don’t have every mobile device to test on. You can use this Desktop tester – https://cre8tivediva.com/responsive/ – just type in pristine.cre8tivediva.com in there. Because it’s Desktop and the code is targeting mobile, some things may be out of line on the Desktop and that’s to be expected. If you have a mobile device, just browser to pristine.cre8tivediva.com. If you try it out and need some help getting new content of your own added in there, you can use my Theme Support page.

      Hi Anita,

I just came a cross your pristine real estate child theme and I really like it.
I wished to look your demo but says it you are just in process to update the child theme.
Can I ask the time scale you think I can have a look or download to use?
      I cannot wait ๐Ÿ™‚

      Thanks

      Hi Anita,

Thank you for this great and beautigul theme.

However I tested it on http://cybercrab.com/screencheck/ and the resolutions 600×1024 (Tablet) and (360×640) show the modules ‘slider’ and ‘quick search’ misaligned.

I would like to use this theme in my domain, so I ask for your help.

      Kind Regards

      Victor Reis

I just wanted to post back here in the comments that I responded to your message Adam. A newer version of Pristine will be ready by Wednesday, if not sooner. I am adding a better mobile menu in there as well as fixing a few other bugs and kinks.
