Style Your MailChimp Embed Code like Genesis eNews Extended

FacebookTweetPinPrintShares3

A few weeks ago someone asked how to style her MailChimp embed code without using Genesis eNews Extended. She plans on using the Group method in MailChimp which provides a way to target subscribers by their interest or preferences within a single list.

Genesis eNews Extended has pretty much been the “go to” plugin to grab up subscribers, however it doesn’t have group capabilities yet. An example of Genesis eNews Extended can be seen on the Genesis Sample demo and it looks like this.

Grab your embed code!

Create your group code over on MailChimp. When you are finished, grab up your “Naked” embed code. Drag a Custom HTML widget over to the Primary Sidebar. Paste in your embed code. Save it.

Style it up!

Next, add this CSS to your stylesheet (style.css), save it. Clear any caching you may have in your website. Your MailChimp embed code should look like this:

Be sure to change the colors and fonts to the ones represented in your themes’ stylesheet!

That’s it!

    Hi Jane,

This is more of customization type question. I don’t plan to update this post for something like that. If you plan to use it, I can provide a quote to provide further customization for your use. But again, if you are using BB, I don’t use it so I wouldn’t be able to assist you there.
